Girona Gravel adventure

Base yourself in Girona and trace sections of the signature sectors made famous by The Traka race series. Whether you’re reccing your race or just here to sample the finest gravel in Northern Catalonia, this week strings together cork-forest climbs, fast champagne lines, and café-to-castle scenery that will leave its mark and have you back here year after year.

Gravel riding in Paradise

Trade in the daily grind for the gravel paradise that is Girona. This small‑group gravel week is designed for strong recreational riders who love big scenery, honest climbs and great food.  Ideally suited if you are taking on one of the TRAKA race series.  Even if you are not racing, Girona will deliver truly memorable Gravel.

You’ll be based in a luxury private villa with a pool, conveniently placed for access to the gravel that awaits, with bike storage, cleaning facilities, and a space for you to unwind after a day in the saddle.  I will set an inclusive pace, regrouping at climbs and coffee stops so everyone gets the photos and the views.  Remember, this is a holiday, not a training camp. There will be sectors of faster splits for those wanting to embrace the race pace, but we will always regroup over coffee and xuixo.

Across five days, you’ll sample classic Girona gravel along sectors that make up the individual TRAKA race routes. Experience forest double‑track and scenic climbs, with options that range from steady 70 km days to bigger 100–130 km adventures.

Transfers from/to Girona Airport are included at set times; bike‑box transfers too. On the road, you’ll have GPX routes, mechanical assistance and plenty of café breaks. All meals are included while you’re on the ground, with a mix of traditional Catalan delicacies, tapas, coffee and cake.

Bring a well‑maintained gravel bike on 40–47 mm tyres (tubeless encouraged) and pack a lightweight shell for changeable hill weather. E‑gravel is welcome; bike hire is available on request. Travel insurance is mandatory; please share your policy details before departure. Most of all, arrive ready for gravel like you have never seen it before!
