#23: RAISE YOUR STANDARDS

Alright friends, tonight’s call is a little different — it’s pre-recorded as I’m on hospital duty with the family. But I didn’t want to leave you without a message this week, especially after the reality checks I’ve had over the last few days.

This one's about standards. The standards you hold, the ones you let slip, and how easily life (work, stress, people) can drag them down without you even noticing.

In this episode I cover:

  • What recent events have reminded me about mortality, regrets, and taking your health for granted

  • Why letting your environment lower your standards sneaks up on you — and how to stop it

  • The ‘bricklayer’ analogy — why you show up and lay every brick perfectly, no matter what’s happening around you

  • How your standards are either creating or destroying your future opportunities

  • The ONLY thing truly in your control: your emotional response to life

  • And the challenge I want every single one of you to do this week with your close family

This isn’t a fluffy, motivational talk. It’s your reminder that no one’s coming to raise your standards for you. You either do it — or you let life chip away at you until you regret the version of yourself you settled for.

Also, a personal ask from me: connect with your people this week. Make the memory. You’ll wish you did.

“When life gets chaotic, your standards keep you grounded.”
Keep them high, friends. Let’s get after it.
